cultivating strength and confidence within teenagers
Is your child…
• A middle schooler or teenager struggling with self-doubt?
• Capable of outstanding achievements but easily overwhelmed by challenges?
• Talented in academics or extracurriculars but lacking confidence?
• Quick to feel demotivated when things don’t go as planned?
• Struggling to bounce back from setbacks or failures?
If you answered ‘yes’ to three or more of these, this program for resilient kids will help your child
develop the skills needed to handle challenges with confidence and composure.
In today’s fast-paced world, young people face constant pressure to succeed. Setbacks can feel
like failures instead of learning experiences. But resilience, the ability to adapt and thrive in the
face of difficulties, is a skill we can nurture.
Without resilience, children may struggle to recover from criticism, find it hard to stay motivated,
and avoid challenges for fear of failure. This can lead to self-distrust, lower academic performance,
and a reluctance to try new things. But with the right guidance, they can build the confidence
needed to take on new challenges and grow from them.
By participating in this program, your child will:
• Learn how to use their strengths effectively when experiencing doubts.
• Gain science-backed strategies to bounce back from challenges.
• Replace negative thoughts with empowering narratives.
• Develop techniques to calm their mind when feeling overwhelmed.
• Strengthen their attention span to stay focused and engaged.
• Cultivate a mindset that views challenges as opportunities for growth.
• Improve emotional regulation skills to handle frustration and disappointment more
effectively.
• Develop problem-solving techniques to navigate obstacles with confidence.
Every child is different, which is why I personalize my programs to meet their unique needs.
Together, we will:
• Co-create a roadmap tailored to their personality and strengths.
• Work on specific areas that will have the biggest impact on their confidence and resilience.
• Move at a comfortable pace so they don’t feel pressured.
This program will be a transformational journey that empowers children with skills they can use
throughout their lives. They will learn how to push past their fears, embrace new opportunities,
and develop a strong foundation for success in school, relationships, and future careers.
Resilient Kids is a 6 week long online workshop. Participants will meet once a week for a 60 minute group session with Coach Shalini.
Each session typically includes one to three homework activities that you can complete at your own pace. Two examples of assignments include a values exploration exercise and keeping a thought diary. They are reflection-based and won’t take more than 5-10 minutes out of your day.
Yes. Countless peer-reviewed research studies have validated the benefits of resilience, and we have made sure that everything in this program is underpinned by rigorous science and references.

Hi Shalini, unfortunately, Alastair’s team lost and came 2nd runner up. He was a bit upset for a short while afterwards but he quickly recovered and remained very motivated. Which is great! It’s more important to learn how to deal with losing. Overall, he think his performance was great and gave it all he can, just the other team was slightly better and had a better argument. He was contend with outcome. Thanks for helping him!
Before I started my coaching sessions, I had very low self-confidence especially in the aspect of academics and was very anxious most of the time. I was also extremely worried about my future. After I started attending coaching sessions, I began to understand myself better. I began to realize my problems and through the sessions I was equipped with means of overcoming and handling them. I was given various techniques to address my anxiety and boost my confidence. Overall, I was developing a new perspective about myself and the world around me.
Having a teen with so many questions and anxieties to deal with makes us moms doubt our parenting. Despite me having a close relationship with my teen I was lost in many places and had ended up with many issues, starting with a seemingly unbreakable addiction to the internet. The coaching sessions with Shalini opened many ways for my daughter to understand who she really was and most importantly her core values and was taught to set attainable goals for herself to help her move forward from a life that was stagnant.
If you want to know more about my trip, we went to a place called gua masang and we went river tubing, tree planting, jungle trekking, caving and rock climbing. When we went trekking I got bitten by a leech, and when we went caving I nearly my fell into a hole. The rest was fun. I’m pretty proud of myself as I succeeded the Rick climbing course even thought I thought I was going to fail. Thank you for coaching me to try out new things and not be afraid of failing.
